About the workshop
Join us for this workshop on how to start a vegetable garden here in the lovely pacific northwest. Understand the tools and techniques, and get tips learned by experience, for how to start and maintain a vegetable garden. Topics covered will include choosing a location, preparing the soil, sourcing and starting from seeds versus transplants, and basics of planting, watering, and harvesting. Each participant can go home with seeds and/or plants to help jumpstart their spring garden. Join us for this workshop, and gain the skills and confidence to cultivate your inner green thumb!
About the instructor
Alexia Allen has been eating primarily from her garden at Hawthorn Farm since 2015, and continues to be deeply involved in growing nutrient-dense produce for an increasing circle of people. She loves to give practical, down-to-earth advice about how to grow a year-round food supply, simply, sustainably, and affordably.
